The mission of the BORN TO ACT PLAYERS is to provide a supportive environment for students with special needs to learn and grow by expressing themselves through the performing arts.

OUR PROGRAM
The BORN TO ACT PLAYERS meet every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cast members are taught theater vocabulary, body awareness, being focused in the moment, and improvisational skills.
Students perform full plays, one acts, and monologues by famous authors, from Woody Allen to Shakespeare.
Musical training includes vocal exercises, singing and dancing, both choreographed and interpretive.
Students participate in productions and showcases presented twice a year.
Several Born to Act members are working actors. Some of their credits include “ER,” “Saving Grace,” “CSI,” Def Leppard Music Video, Equity production of A Christmas Carol and many, many more.

On June 27th and 28th, the BTAP performed the original play " THE JEWEL OF THE JUNCTION ", written for us by Larry Sargent. The performances were held at the Horse Shoe Theatre at L. A. Valley College.
Much to our delight, our shows were sold out, and received standing ovations!!!
We want to thank everyone who helped us with our production, and all of you who came to laugh, cheer, and support us!
At intermission, we held a small art show , featuring several original beautiful pieces by our members . We also held a silent auction with several amazing items donated to BTAP by celebrities. We will be doing that again!!!
Everyone was thrilled with the entire experience! Onward and upward!!!!
